Big things are coming to one of the world’s largest all-seaplane airlines. B.C.’s Harbour Air is launching three new routes starting next year, as well as a slew of winter routes to Vancouver Island that will make in-province travel far easier!
In fact, by Summer 2026, Harbour Air will be flying up to 200 daily flights across 15 destinations, marking the airline’s most ambitious flight schedule to date.
“We’re responding directly to what our guests and communities are asking for: more choice, more flexibility, and more reliable travel,” says Chris Fordyce, chief commercial officer at Harbour Air. “By adding new routes, extending operating hours, and introducing wheeled services for the winter months, we’re making sure people can get where they need to be, whatever the reason.”
Before then, though, travellers can look forward to expanded service to Vancouver Island during the winter months. This includes service between downtown Vancouver and Victoria, with wheeled flights returning Oct. 27, 2025, with extended winter travel times.
A new winter route between Vancouver and Tofino will launch on Oct. 27, 2025, offering flights four times a week.
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, daily flights between Victoria and Seattle will launch on June 11, 2026, in addition to cross-border flights between Vancouver and Seattle returning in March 2026, signifying a shift to summer-only service.
Finally, enhanced seasonal service between Vancouver and Sechelt will be introduced starting June 26, 2026, which will see direct flights between the two cities.
The route between Sechelt and Powell River will become a summer-only route starting April 2, 2026, followed by service between Nanaimo and Sechelt, which will resume on May 4, 2026.
Starting Summer 2026, flights between Vancouver and Seattle will be offered twice daily.
