Ontario is getting vintage streetcar rides through a festive wonderland

All aboard the Christmas train! The Halton County Radial Railway offers magical trips through the woods on vintage streetcars and it’s a must-do this holiday season.

The Halton County Radial Railway is a full-size operating electric railway and museum in the town of Campbellville.

This December, the railway will open for one last hurrah until next spring for its beloved holiday event, Christmas on the Rails.

“There’s nothing like riding the rails through the woods with snow on the trees and Christmas carols in the air,” says the railway.

“Even Santa might make an appearance!”

Board the historic streetcar decked out in holiday lights and get whisked back in time to the 1920s.

As you gaze out the window you’ll be treated to views of the hardwood forest covered in fresh snow.

Whether you’re a locomotive enthusiast or a lover of all things festive, Christmas on the Rails will not disappoint!

It’s worth noting that tickets are sold at the door and will take place as scheduled if weather permits.
