If you want to curl up and watch your fave Halloween movies but don’t want to hole yourself up at home, we feel you. And thankfully, there’s a great alternative to your couch this month: Drive-in Halloween movies under the stars, courtesy of Grosvenor and Fresh Air Cinema. The best part? Screenings are by donation!
Starting Friday, October 21st, you can load up your car with friends & family and enjoy a spooky movie accompanied by food truck eats at Grosvenor Oakridge. There will be an early show and a late show for folks to choose from on the next two weekends.
Here’s what’s screening on each day of the drive-in theatre:
Gates to the outdoor theatre open at 5 pm each day, and the first 300 cars of the evening will receive complimentary popcorn! There will also be a concession stand and a different food truck available each evening. Guests can enjoy grub from White Spot on October 21st, Takenaka on the 22nd, Shameless Buns on October 28th, and La Taqueria on October 29th.

All proceeds from the drive-in will go toward Easter Seals, who work to bring transportation services, camps, educational classes, and more to those with diverse abilities.
Note that the event does allow pets, but they must be leashed when outside in the parking lot, and must remain in the car with you during the movie.
Tickets are by donation, but must be reserved online and presented upon entry.
And that’s all for now, Vancouver! Grab some blankets and snacks and get ready for some cozy viewing.
