This feel-good story is set in the 1960s, complete with colourful costumes, and well-known songs like Good Morning Baltimore, Welcome to the ’60s, and You Can’t Stop the Beat.

The Boadway Across Canada North American tour is led by the original director Jack O’Brien and original choreographer Jerry Mitchell. Hairspray will be playing in Calgary and Edmonton for 1 week in each city, so don’t wait too long if you want to go see it.
We chatted a bit more with Caroline Eiseman, the lead actress playing Tracy Turnblad, about touring in Canada and what she’s excited about seeing in Alberta.
“I have never been to Edmonton or Calgary, but I am so excited to spend a few weeks exploring and being immersed in the culture! Seeing the Northern Lights has been on my bucket list forever, so that is a MUST when we get to Edmonton! My favourite post-show meal is a burger and I have heard Model Milk has a great one, so I look forward to visiting there.” Caroline Eiseman, Actress: Tracy Turnblad.
