7 Toronto gyms and fitness studios offering virtual classes right now

Another year, another few weeks of working out… at home.

January is usually a month to start fitness routines, and the physical closures in Ontario for the next few weeks shouldn’t stop you. Many local Toronto studios and gyms are currently offering virtual classes, which is a great way to kick off that fitness goal while supporting a Toronto business.

Not sure where to start? Here’s a look at what some studios in Toronto are currently offering:

Sweat and Tonic

Toronto’s Sweat and Tonic currently has Sweat Live virtual classes, with lots of flexible credit and membership options to suit your schedule. You can try individual classes that include Yoga, Pilates, spin, and HIIT, or get unlimited weekly or monthly access. The studio is also offering bike rentals, and has a library of over 2000 on-demand workouts with Sweat on Demand.

6iX Cycle

Queen West fave 6ix Cycle is continuing to offer 6IX on Demand which includes spin, HIIT, lift and flow classes with a variety of instructors, class lengths, music genres (even a few theme classes!), and is open to all levels.

Fit Factory

Fit Factory, which has two locations in Toronto, has introduced a Lockdown Program to keep you in shape every day of the week. “Never before have we had a challenge that combines both LIVE Online Classes and Outdoor Training to keep your bodies warm during the winter season,” states the studio, which started its program on January 5th. But there’s still time to get on board.

A Sculpt Body

A Sculpt Body (founded by @AlessiaSculpt) is running a January three-week Back to Basics program with Genuine Health. Expect weekly workout schedules and live classes. This starts on January 10 so still time to sign up and get moving.

Elle Fitness

King Street’s Elle Fitness is offering Elle On Demand, which has live classes and you can start a 30-day-free trial right now. You can expect cardio classes, pilates, Body Blast, and Bootcamps.

One Academy

Regardless of your fitness level, One Academy is about making you feel supported and encouraged during every single class whether in person or online. Their trademarked HiFlux program is a four-week training course that evolves, progressing in intensity and volume. One Academy offers live and on-demand classes.

Academy of Lions

This Ossington cross-training academy generally has an At Home workout from January 5 to 25 to keep you moving. Classes are available through Zoom, and they are accessible to members and non-members.

Get ready to work up a sweat at home, Toronto!
