Wide open spaces, a lot of yellow, and air that smells so addictive you wonder if they’re distilling cocaine essential oils. We’re talkin’ sunflower fields, baby! Influencers across the country have trekked to find the most stunning Insta pics around, and it’s no surprise that a ton of them take place in fields of gold. So pack your snacks, your fave playlist, and an are-we-there-yet attitude, ’cause it’s time to take a roadie to see the most stunning sunflowers in Canada.
Andrew’s Scenic Acres– Ontario
Andrew’s has built a rep in the Greater Toronto Area for pick-your-own-everything (dahlias, gooseberries, raspberries, asparagus, you name it). They call their sunflower patch a Sunflower Kingdom, so you know it’s real. Book a tour to learn about bees and honey-making, enjoy a scenic wagon ride, and chill with farmyard animals.
Where: 9365 10 Side Road, Milton, Ontario
Cobbs Adventure Park– Alberta
Alrighty, so now it’s time for a certified Calgary gem. Cobbs Adventure Park has it all (seriously)– with a Kangaroo Petting Zoo, Climbing Wall, Bouncy Houses, Pedal Carts, *deep breath in* Tractor Rides, Giant Slides, Archery Tag, Zorbz, Eurobungy, Ropes Course, and Black Light Minigolf… so when you’re done with the blooms, you’ll have several other activities to entertain you.
Where: 1500 84th Street NE, Calgary, Alberta
Chilliwack Sunflower Fest– British Columbia

You’ve probably heard of Chilliwack’s iconic tulip fest, but their sunflower fest is just as fantastic. You can expect 5 acres of blooms to explore, swing sets, an operational windmill, a vintage bicycle, face cut-outs, and more. Overall, an Insta goldmine (literally, these flowers are yellow).
Where: 41310 Yale Road, Chilliwack, British Columbia
Davis Family Farm– Ontario
There’s no better place to snap a pic than in 35 acres of sunflowers! If you can’t imagine what 35 acres looks like, just imagine 46 football fields of flowers. Yeah, go big or go home. They’ve also got sunflower yoga and handmade goods to buy. Load up on the honey and thank us later!
Where: 15770 Mountainview Rd, Caledon E, Ontario
Dakeyne Farm– Nova Scotia
This place might be the most wholesome spot to see sunflowers in Canada. Bring a picnic and enjoy an old fashioned day on top of their beautiful hill, play soccer, throw a Frisbee, have a game of ring toss, or spend some time with cows and horses. But our fave part? Pre-book and you can release a large group of butterflies into the field (yes, we’re serious).
Where: 1137 Highway 1, Mount Denson, Nova Scotia

Black Fox Farm & Distillery– Saskatchewan
This non-traditional farm produces award-winning spirits and has the largest cut flower farm on the prairies. We love the idea of stopping to smell the flowers and sipping while we do it, so Black Fox is big in our books. Hit them up for a tour, event or festival and go home smelling like booze and blooms (the two best B’s!).
Where: 245 Valley Road, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Birchwood Meadows– Alberta
Found just outside Edmonton, Birchwood Meadows has 35 varieties of flowers that are yours for the pickin’. It’s launching its first-ever sunflower festival this year with over 8 acres of sunflowers, so pop by to wander amongst ‘grammable walls, peruse the pop-up shop, build a flower crown, and more.
Where: 56032 Range Rd 245, Sturgeon County, Alberta
