Guide: 7 of the best Ramen spots in Vancouver

Well, with the weather turning a little sour, there’s no better time than now for our guide to the best ramen in Vancouver. Thankfully, Vancouver might just be one of the best cities in North America for the delectable Japanese dish, and we’re going to explore every nook and cranny.

Here is our guide to the best ramen in Vancouver.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

Probably the most famous spot in the city for ramen. Everything here is good, but we personally recommend their spicy miso ramen and the gyoza. We might as well say that for most of these spots, you should go before or after their lunch or dinner rushes. Just a heads up.

Hours: Daily , 11AM-11PM
Where: 558 W Broadway and 1690 Robson Street

Ramen Danbo

Our top pick for the classic shoyu ramen that most people associate with the dish. Rich and creamy, with just the right amount of salt. The Negi-Goma is delicious as well, for those craving a little healthier-feeling ramen. Don’t be afraid to add an egg and grab the chashu-pork donburi on the side, either.

Hours: Daily, 11AM-11PM
Where: 1333 Robson Street and 1833 W 4th Avenue

Jinya Ramen Bar

These guys do some fantastic unique flavours, but they get the nod for having the best vegan ramen dish by far. How they do it, we don’t know, but it seriously blew us away when we first tried it.

Hours: Varies per location
Where: 541 Robson Street, 159 W 4th Avenue and 2129 W 41st Avenue

The Ramen Butcher

Although the name is unique, The Ramen Butcher is affiliated with the insanely popular Menya Kouji Group in Japan. You can’t go wrong with the menu, but we highly recommend checking them out for their great happy hour deal.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 11AM-2:30PM and 5PM-9:30PM, Friday to Sunday, 11AM-9:30PM
Where: 223 E Georgia Street
