Guide: 10 places for great pizza in Seattle

Alright, folks, summer is around the corner and you know what that means.  That’s right, it’s pizza season again. Just kidding, every season is pizza season, which is why we’re giving you a laundry list of great pizza places in Seattle to check out.

Here are 10 great pizza spots in Seattle.

Breezy Town Pizza

One of two spots in the city that excel at pan pizza. Rather than doing exclusively Chicago or Detroit style, Breezy Town opts for a tongue in cheek approach, creating a pizza that transports you to the best spot in a midwestern town.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 4PM-12AM, Friday, 4PM-1: 30 AM, Saturday, 11AM-1: 30 AM and Sunday, 11AM-11PM
Where: 4864 Beacon Ave S, inside Clok-out Lounge

Big Mario’s Pizza

A New York-style staple that has three locations around the city. The perfect place to swing by for a single slice while you’re out and about. Or, stick around a while and get a beer to wash it down.

Hours: Varies by location by open late
Where: Capitol Hill, Queen Anne, and Fremont locations

Dino’s Tomato Pie

From the people behind Delancey comes Dino’s. Serving up both New Jersey round pizza and Sicilian rectangular, Dino’s is the place to grab a little something if you’re in Capitol Hill. Best website by far on this list, too.

Hours: Sunday to Wednesday, 4PM-12AM, and Thursday to Saturday, 4PM-2AM
Where: 1524 E Olive Way

Rocco’s

Hip spot downtown that pairs contemporary flavors with tasty cocktails. This is the place to go if you’re looking for an extended pizza extravaganza with a few friends before going out later.

Hours: Daily, 11AM-2AM
Where: 2228 2nd Avenue

Pizzeria 22

These guys have great prices considering they are part of the prestigious VPN certified group. Italians are protective of their foods, with pizza being no different, and a VPN certification demonstrates perfection when it comes to Neopolitan style pies.

Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 4PM-10PM, and Friday to Saturday, 4PM-11PM
Where: 4213 SW College Street

Proletariat

Billed as ‘the pizza that made White Centre famous’, Proletariat makes the trip out here more than worth it. Grab something simple, like maybe the REAL Hawaiian made with SPAM, or test out a pizza like White Centre White, that foregoes tomato sauce. Good space for kids, too.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 4PM-9PM, Friday/Saturday, 12PM-11PM and Sunday, 12PM-9PM
Where: 9622-A 16th Avenue SW

Slice Box Pizza

Great spot for grab and go pizza that’s only a few blocks from T-Mobile Park. Thin crust and Sicilian style pizzas are the norm, with tables available if you want to save some money and grab a beer before a baseball game.

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 11AM-6PM, Closed Sunday
Where: 1727 1st Avenue S

Supreme

Now with locations in both West Seattle and the University District, Supreme offers delicious, contemporary New York pizza. Like Rocco’s, it’s best to head over with a few friends and take advantage of their great bar program.

Hours: Daily, 11AM-2AM
Where: 4521 California Avenue SW and 4529 University Way NE

Windy City Pie

The other pan pizza staple in Seattle, and affiliated with Breezy Town Pizza. The OG spot for delicious Chicago-style deep dish. They’re sourdough based crust and the delicious caramelized cheese make it a winner in our minds.

Hours: Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday, 4PM-10PM and Friday/Saturday, 4PM-11PM, Closed Monday and Tuesday
Where: 5918 Phinney Avenue N

World Pizza

This spot gets the nod because they do vegetarian pizzas better than any other spot in the city. Because, after all, who said that pizza can’t be health food? Although we have to admit that wasabi pineapple doesn’t sound super appetizing.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 10AM-9PM, Friday, 10AM-10PM, Saturday, 12PM-10PM and Sunday, 12PM-8PM
Where: 672 S King Street
