You may have noticed that we’ve been pushing visiting Blueberry farms lately. And that’s because Blueberry picking is one of the best summer activities that you can do in Washington state. So here are 10 of the best Blueberry farms to visit near Seattle.
This farm has been in operation since the 40s and offers 6 strands of Blueberries for pickers to choose from. And they are Stanley, Dixi, Pemberton, Jersey, Blue Ray, and Blue Crop. Did you even know there were that many different kinds of Blueberries? Oh, and they use organic agricultural methods.

This is probably one of the closest Blueberry Farms to Seattle which as you may have guessed also means it’ll be busy. But that being said, people have rave reviews about Larsen Lake Blueberry Farms and its location is accessible.
When: Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-6 pm, Sunday, 10 am-5 pm
This spot is big. Mountainview has 9 acres of land and 7 different varieties of berries that you can pick. However, Mountainview’s berries are conventionally farmed using IPM. That being said, it’s still one of the more popular spots near Seattle.

Where: 7617 E. Lowell-Larimer Road, Snohomish, WA
And for those of you situated in South Seattle, heading down to Tacoma might be your best bet. So if that’s you, you can try checking out Charlotte’s Blueberry Park which is run by Metro Parks Tacoma. And it’s huge at over 3,300 bushes!

Gotta love organic. Olalla is another great spot for those of you looking for specifically organic Blueberry farms. And during the pandemic, they are operating on time slots so be sure to book ahead for your preferred timeslot.

On the topic of appointments, Blue Dot is also running on a by appointment picking schedule during the pandemic. And while blue Dot is a small family-run farm, they have 9 primary varieties of Blueberries and 7 other varieties. Which is pretty dang good.

Bow Hill also likes to keep things organic and they happen to be one of the oldest if not the oldest family-run blueberry farm in the Skagit Valley. So you can be sure that they know their stuff. Not to mention, they’re the perfect stop on a day trip in the Skagit Valley.
When: Monday-Thursday 10 am-5 pm, Friday & Saturday 10 am-6 pm, Sunday 11 am-6 pm

And if you want certified organic then Broers is the place for you. Not to mention they also have multiple other berry varieties. So you can snag blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and marionberries. Because variety is key.

If you want more variety in berries, Bryant has you covered. Not only do they have blueberries but they also have a hybrid of raspberries and blackberries known as tayberries. And they also have boysenberries and currents. So you could say they’re one of the most unique blueberry farms near Seattle.
When: Tuesday-Thursday 8 am-4 pm, Saturday & Sunday 8 am-4 pm

Blue Dog is another farm that takes its organic practices very seriously. And they also offer a unique membership program for dedicated u-pickers. So if you want the ability to pick at any time, consider a membership. You’ll still have to pay by the pound but hey that flexibility sure sounds worth it to us.
