Groundhog Day is this week & there’s a FREE breakfast in Alberta to celebrate

Will it be an early spring? It won’t be long until we’ve got some insight! Groundhog Day in Alberta is just around the corner and Balzac Billy will soon make his biggest appearance of 2024.

Highly anticipated by people all over the world, this year’s event will take place on February 2nd bright and early in the morning.

Want to see what happens live?

Those living in Wild Rose Country are encouraged to visit the Blue Grass Nursery in Balzac at 7 am in celebration of what we hope will be a short-lived winter.

Located just outside of Calgary, the annual shindig will not only feature Alberta’s beloved mascot but also a community breakfast before he pops out and does his job.

So, bring your friends and family, come hungry and cross your fingers.

It’s FREE to attend and will be a ton of fun.
