A huge summer festival series is returning to Granville Street next month

The long-awaited return of the Granville Promenade is back, and with it – an outdoor summer fest series in Vancouver’s “Entertainment District.”

What started as a pilot program last year has become a celebrated summer festival, closing down the stretch of Granville Street between Smithe and Helmcken to traffic and opening it up to folks around the city.

In addition to being ambassadors for downtown safety and cleanliness, the Downtown Vancouver Business Improvement Association (DVBIA) strives to create a greater sense of community & continuously improve the downtown core experience.

Examples of past and ongoing events this season include an outdoor movie series, a farmer’s market, and even a roller disco at Robson Square. This year? You can expect even more live music, street entertainment, pop-up patios, and art than last year!

Plus, The Vancouver Mural Festival will take over the promenade on Sunday, August 14th for their VMF Street Party.

While this year’s festival is a little short on details at the moment, folks can expect updates on programming, food, music, and more via DVBIA’s socials over the next couple of weeks. So, keep your eye out for those, and we’ll check back in soon!
