Great at thrifting? You can win an award for it from Goodwill and here’s how

Calling all thrifting mavens!

If you’ve got a knack for discovering hidden gems and bringing new life to pre-loved treasures, you might be able to win some accolades for it!

Goodwill just announced that they are opening nominations for their Thrifting Hall of Fame – and that could include you!

That’s right, you could win an award along with the title of Alberta’s best thrifter. If the bragging rights alone aren’t worth it, here are all the details.

What is the Thrifting Hall of Fame?

Another year, another class of top-notch thrifters!

Goodwill’s virtual hall of fame immortalizes thrifters from across Alberta who have made a lasting impact in the world of second-hand shopping.

Not only is this great for the planet, but it helps support the community too!

Alberta thrifters further Goodwill’s mission to provide programs and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities or barriers.

By shopping at Goodwill, you support those individuals in finding meaningful employment. All the more reason to celebrate thrifters with the 3rd annual Thrifting Hall of Fame!

How To Nominate A Thrifter

You can nominate someone – even yourself – who you think deserves to be inducted into Goodwill’s Thrifting Hall of Fame.

They are looking for thrifters from every walk of life. No matter your story, they want to know why YOU do it.

This year’s categories include:

  • Antique Finds
  • DIY of the Year
  • Fashionable Finds
  • Donor of the Year
  • Home Décor Hero
  • The People’s Choice

Whoever is inducted into the Hall of Fame will receive the amazing prize of:

  • Awards event ceremony in Edmonton
  • One-night stay in an Edmonton hotel (plus guest)
  • Trophy
  • Goodwill gift card
  • Swag bag
  • and more!

You can fill out a nomination form online by following the link below, or scan the special QR code at your local Goodwill retail store.
