This Ontario farm is having an adorable ‘Goatchella’ festival this month

A unique animal-centric festival is coming our way, and you’ve “goat” an invitation. Goatchella is an annual event that takes place at a 200-acre farm called Haute Goat, and it’s a party you don’t want to miss.

Located one hour east of Toronto among the rolling hills of Northumberland County, Haute Goat is gearing up for its yearly Goatchella festival.

Similarly to Coachella, there will be live music and fun activations of all kinds — however, unlike the California festival, there will be many goats and alpacas in attendance.

Haute Goat is home to all kinds of unique residents, including Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Huacaya Alpacas, Exotic Chickens, Icelandic Horses, Tornjak Livestock Guardian Dogs, and a big, silly mule named Lucy Mae Belle.

You’ll get to meet and interact with them at the festival and participate in “shmrugles” which means cuddling with baby goats.

You will have to get a separate ticket to be admitted into the goat playground.

The festival will also have goat races, 30 local artisan vendors, disc golf, donkey bingo, music with goats, an Icelandic beer tolt, and alpaca fun.

The kick-off event for Goatchella is a pink-tie dinner, a farm-to-table dining event where best-dressed guests will receive gift bags.

Haute Goat offers many experiences with their animals throughout the year, including goat yoga, alpaca sleepovers, and the chance to be a farmer for a day.

And if you’re looking to make some more furry friends, there are so many animal rescue sanctuaries you can visit around Ontario.

So, get your pink festival outfit ready and round up your pals, because this weekend might just be the G.O.A.T.
