GO Transit now has discount group passes for up to 5 people

Got summer day trips planned? GO Transit now has group passes you can get that are cheaper than regular fare.

The new group fare deal is available for one year as part of a pilot project and can only be redeemed during the week.

All you have to do is buy one online pass for your group, which gives everyone access to unlimited, all-day travel together throughout the GO network on a weekday.

Whether you’re travelling with just one other person or four of your closest travel buds, you can get your passes for a discount.

The prices are as follows:

  • 2 people – $30
  • 3 people – $40
  • 4 people – $50
  • 5 people – $60

Not only can you get as far as Niagara Falls, but you can also go north to Barrie and Stouffville, out to Kitchener, or to major Toronto-area attractions like Canada’s Wonderland, Casa Loma, The Distillery District, and more.

GO Transit recently launched $10 One-Day and $15 Weekend passes. The passes grant you access to the entire GO system for just one flat fee, meaning you can hop from city to city without stopping if you wanted to.

The single-day pass can be used on either a Saturday, Sunday, or statutory holiday. The $15 pass is valid all weekend long, including holidays.

Plus, GO Transit and the Rocketman app are having a deal on $10 One-Day passes — if you buy one, you’ll get a second one for free!

Gas prices are through the roof, so why not skip the road trip and take the GO Train instead?
