If you’ve ever wanted to explore a piece of Canada’s nostalgic TV history, the town of Gibsons is just a 40-minute ferry ride from West Vancouver, and it’s best known as the location behind CBC’s longest-running show “The Beachcombers.”

Visitors at Gibsons Landing can check out the iconic yellow-and-blue Molly’s Reach restaurant, which now offers a West Coast-inspired menu and revamped interior, according to Sunshine Coast Tourism. That said, the beloved spot still retains its heritage and coastal charm, so be sure to snap a photo if you visit!

Those strolling down the harbour area can enjoy access to several nearby parks and beaches, including the popular Armours Beach, where visitors can wade through the stunning waters of Howe Sound or jump off of the public dock during the warmer months.

As well, visitors can stroll down the seawall path from Armours Beach to the famed Gibsons Public Market, which features six permanent local merchants, an award-winning bistro, and a collect-hold-release aquarium.

The heart of the coastal town, Gibsons Landing is “easily walkable” with plenty of shops, restaurants, museums, and art galleries to pop into, which makes it a great day trip destination for the whole family to enjoy.

The quaint small town can be accessed via ferry from the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal to the Langdale Ferry Terminal, which is just 10 minutes away from Gibsons.

So there you have it, BC! Another small town gem to visit at your next opportunity.
