Zoom Zoom: North America’s largest ice track is on this Alberta Lake

Most people like to take in slow in the winter months – but for the speed demons who live in the fast lane, there’s the Ghost Lake Ice Track in Alberta.

Located 30 minutes from Calgary, this thrilling ice course is maintained by Faster Higher and has been recognized as the largest of its kind in North America.

Featuring 84 turns and 6 tracks that total 9.6 km, adventure seekers are not only encouraged to check it out – but through the local company, can also experience racing on it themselves with or without the help of one of their trained professionals.

Behind the wheel of one of their drift-built side-by-sides, take on the frozen circuit for as little as $99 every Saturday and Sunday as long as it’s deemed safe to do so.

Each experience lasts about 1 hour and will include an introductory lesson, safety gear and (depending on their package) a 16-minute solo ride with an audience of like-minded enthusiasts.

Interested? Visit their website here and book one of their vehicles now!

There’s really nothing like it, Alberta.

Good luck and have fun!
