Tucked along the shores of Lake Simcoe is an adorable town that’s worth the trip from the city. Georgina, Ontario has a little of everything from lush hiking trails to a waterfront you’ll find yourself strolling any time of year. Oh, did we mention the “fairy tale” spa?
Time to plan your trip!
One of the best parts about Georgina, Ontario is that it’s just a quick one-hour road trip from Toronto – the perfect distance for somewhere to spend the day away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The town nestles on the shore of Lake Simcoe, the largest inland lake in southern Ontario.
We would be doing a disservice if didn’t mention one of the most popular attractions in Georgina – The Briars Resort and Spa.
Guests can stay the night in one of the stunning suites at this “fairy tale” destination, or just enjoy the luxurious spa.
The Spa offers a variety of services including skin care, massages, holistic therapies and even salon services!
If you’re a lover of the outdoors then Sibbald Point Provincial Park will be the spot for you.
This park is open year-round and boasts trails that offer fall foliage views this time of year, and sandy beaches that are busier in the summertime but can still be enjoyed in the fall as a place to catch the sunset.
Finish your day off with some yummy bites and a pint from Kings Tavern. The menu includes pub fare, burgers, steak, seafood and of course a variety of beers and cocktails.
Now, your day trip to Georgina is all planned out, all you have to do is get there.
