From its direction and writing, to set design and acting, HBO’s Alberta-filmed series The Last Of Us has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike.

However (while it’s not a competition) we’d argue that besides those familiar with the video game, Calgarians are some of the most enthusiastic about the project; luckily – the love is mutual!

In fact, one cast member actually attended the Flames game on Wednesday night in support of the city’s home team and his enthusiasm almost made up for the 4-1 loss we suffered.

Gabriel Luna, who plays Tommy Miller in the show, hit the Scotiabank Saddledome on the January 18th, decked out in Calgary swag – though this is not the first time he’s been photographed at the arena.

While TLOU was in production, Luna attended a couple of games in which he took photos with fans, called Albertans “real good people,” and posted about the team’s wins.

“So happy to be back in Calgary for the Canadian screening of The Last of Us,” he wrote on Instagram following his appearance.

“Missed y’all. Go Flames Go!”

As an honourary Calgarian, we hope this is not the last time we see him at the dome – especially if they bless us with a second season. After all, we believe the more Flames fans there are the merrier!

Come back anytime Gabriel. We love having you!
