A first-of-its-kind Japanese soufflé pancake spot is opening in Calgary this weekend

If there’s one thing that we actually enjoy about being an adult – it’s that we can literally eat whatever we want, whenever we want. This weekend you better believe that dessert is on the breakfast menu, as Fuwa Fuwa – a unique soufflé pancake resto – finally opens in Calgary.

Serving light and airy cakes, Fuwa Fuwa (which means “fluffy fluffy” in Japanese) will be the first in Calgary to specialize in the popular snack.

“We are finally here!” They wrote on Instagram, sharing that Saturday, May 7th would be the big day.

“Thank you for your patience as we had to navigate numerous delays.”

With current locations in Toronto and Mississauga and others coming soon to Edmonton and Shenzhen, China, Fuwa Fuwa was actually slated to open in February – though it’s unclear why the event was pushed back.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer as their beloved menu of creme brulee, blueberry cheese, Tiramasu, and cookies and cream flavored pancakes will finally be available to hungry Calgarians, so save the date and enjoy!
