Hope you’re hungry, Toronto! A fried chicken festival is coming our way this weekend and it’s an all-in-one destination for all things crispy, golden and delicious.

Taking place at Street Eats Market, the festival will feature a variety of vendors each with their own unique take on this beloved comfort food staple.

In addition to tasty eats, the festival will have live bands, DJs, axe throwing, arcade basketball shootouts, giant jenga, eating contests, artisans, outdoor activities, craft beers, ciders and more.

Plus, top-tier vendors will go head to head in a battle for the best fried chicken in the whole city. We can’t wait to taste the winning creation!

Some of the competitors announced so far include Tokyo Hot Fried Chicken, famous for their Tokyo hot fried chicken sandwich, Nashville reaper sandwich, their new Tanhulu chicken wings, pop rock fried chicken, and last but not least, their epic fried chicken ice cream sandwich.

Also competing in this year’s battle is Dave’s Hot Chicken, and the photos alone have us drooling.

You’ll also get to taste creations from previous winners of the competition, like 2019 winner Rick’s Good Eats, who will be serving up their signature Tandoori Fried Chicken alongside their Butter Chicken Loaded Fries, the Ricks Fried Chicken Sandwich, the return of the Big Crunch, and their veggie fried “Chicken” too.

We’ll need a big appetite to eat our way through all of the upcoming food festivals in Toronto, but we accept the challenge!
