The Skate Escape: 

Skate around the rink at the heart of the Friday Harbour Piazza at Skate Escape from January 18 to March 17. Rent your skates on-site, then treat yourself afterwards to delectable goodies and handcrafted beverages while you unwind by the warming lounges and enjoy live entertainment.

Explore the Promenade: 

It’s not really a vacation without a bit of shopping, right? Uncover a treasure trove of shops and restaurants where you can hunt for unique gifts or savour a leisurely lunch or dinner. 

Nature Preserve 

Fancy a trek in the wilderness? For outdoor enthusiasts, the Nature Preserve beckons with 7 km of trails for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or fat biking. All of which you can rent through Friday Harbour’s Winter Outdoor Adventure Centre.

If the winter chill starts to get to you, you can always take advantage of Friday Harbour’s year-round amenities. There’s exceptional dining at Lake Club and a TrackMan Golf Simulator at the Harbour Master Building.

With GO Transit, you can buy a $10 weekend day pass or a weekday group pass for groups up to 5 people to save on your trip. Kids 12 and under also always GO free, and so can your dog

Here’s how to take GO Transit to get to Friday Harbour:

  • Take the Barrie GO line to Barrie South GO.
  • Upon arrival at Barrie South GO, connect to Friday Harbour on Innisfil Transit which has partnered with Uber to offer discounted rates and help you get around the community. 

Here’s how to use Innisfil Transit provided by UBER:

  • Download the UBER app on your phone.
  • Select Innisfil Transit on the UBER app when booking your trip.
  • Drop a pin or enter the place name or address of where you’d like to go – enter Friday Harbour.
  • There is a flat rate from Barrie South GO to Friday Harbour, one way, starting at $6.
