The countdown to the summer season is on! And if you love the outdoors, you’ll be glad to know that Ontario Parks will welcome visitors for free use, for one day only. This is your chance to explore Ontario’s provincial parks at no cost.

On July 19, at any of the operating Ontario Parks, visitors are welcome to explore the grounds for free, all day long.

The one-day-only celebration, Healthy Parks Healthy People, permits visitors to enjoy their local Ontario provincial parks, use its facilities, and even partake in a fun event.

“The time to strengthen and rediscover our connection to nature is now,” shares Ontario Parks.

“Ontario’s provincial parks are home to some of the most inspiring and beautiful landscapes in the country. We want to increase the awareness and uptake of the strong benefits linked to spending time in nature.”

Those who visit a park will be given a complimentary day pass and can enjoy the park facilities until 10 PM that same day.

However, it’s important to know that you will still have to pay for facilities not included in day use, such as camping and equipment rentals.

Additional costs of swimming pool use at Bronte Creek and Earl Rowe provincial parks will also remain in effect.

Don’t forget to mark down your calendars for July 19th. You don’t want to miss out on this outdoor experience.
