Not only is this Saturday May the 4th (be with you), it is also Free Comic Book Day! For those who celebrate FCBD, there are several spots in Seattle taking part in this national tradition.

Free Comic Book Dat takes place on the first Saturday in May at local comic shop everywhere. If you’re in and around Seattle, these are the shops you will want to check out this weekend.

Golden Age Collectables

Golden Age Collectables is ready to host their Annual FREE COMIC BOOK DAY on Saturday, May 4th! “All day on Saturday, May 4th, everyone gets one free comic book from the rack of FCBD offerings just for walking in the door! Make a purchase? You’ll get more free comics,” states the store. Not only that, you can also meet Batman & Harley Quinn from 1-3pm!

Phoenix Comics & Games

This year’s celebration will last all day long. From when the shop opens at 10 AM until close at 9 PM, you’ll have an opportunity to partake of up to four tables full of a bounty of free comics. Of note, there often are restrictions in order to last all day, “all we ask is that you only take what you want to read, and that you enjoy yourself!” You can also expect sales that day!

Outsider Comics

At Outsider Comics, you can expect free comics, special guests, sales, and more (including a Fremont neighborhood scavenger hunt!) from 11 to 7! There is also a 2 free comics per person limit to “make things fair for everyone”, and it will be removed after 5 PM if any comics are left.
