Star Wars: A New Hope

Bison Backstage at Elk Island

Looking to learn something new this spring? Bison Backstage is an exclusive, behind the scenes look at bison conservation at Elk Island! Guests will be led “through the Plains Bison Handling Facility and along the way will learn about the history of bison, how they affect the prairie landscape around them, and how parks staff continue the ongoing role in bison conservation efforts,” according to the Park.

Downtown Spark is coming back! Expect this year’s event to have art installations and musical performances, as well as street parties! The event will be free, and family-friendly!

UFest Edmonton Ukrainian Festival is a celebration of Ukrainian culture, food, music, visual arts, crafts and dance. The two-day event will be free to attend!

The Wandering Witches Market

This all-ages event will feature over 30 local and talented vendors, food trucks, and there will be gift bags for the first 20 attendees at the door!

Art Gallery of Alberta

Feeling artsy? The AGA’s Creating Beauty exhibit opened in April, showcasing artworks created by a group of 11 emerging artists, alumni of the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension Visual Arts certificate Program. The AGA is free to visit on the last Thursday in May from 4pm to 7 pm.
