GO TO A PROVINCIAL MUSEUM 

With the Queens Platinum Jubilee just around the corner, the province wants you to get out and celebrate! Between June 3rd and 5th, you and your family will be able to check out historic sites and museums all over Alberta for free – so don’t miss it!

HIT THE KENSINGTON NIGHT MARKET

The warmer weather is finally here, which means so are late-night walks, flip-flops, and sunny day activities! One of our favorites? The Kensington Night Market! If you’re a big fan like we are, hold on to your bags, because it all kicks off on June 2nd.

CATCH A FILM AT THE 23RD ANNUAL FAIRYTALES FESTIVAL

Pop some corn, support local, and save a couple of bucks. This month, check out one or all 45 of the incredible films featured in the 24th FairyTales Queer Film Festival – an annual event that gives the LGBTQ+ community a platform to share stories of self-love, suppression, acceptance, and misrepresentation.

CHECK OUT THE DUNVEGAN GARDEN CENTRE

This June, get your flower fix at the Dunvegan Garden Centre! Located just southwest of Calgary at Granary Road, this larger-than-life greenhouse carries both indoor and outdoor plants, landscaping supplies, gardening tools, and a ton more.

GET SOME SUN AT THE LILAC FESTIVAL

It’s finally here, friends! This June Calgary’s beloved Lilac Festival – and its vendors, musicians, artists, and food trucks – are back and ready to rock your world. It’s been a long time coming, folks but they’ve finally returned!

When: Sunday, June 5th
Where: 4th street between 13th Ave and Elbow Drive
Time: 10 am – 6 pm

OR SAVE THE SPF & VISIT THE INGLEWOOD NIGHT MARKET

This June vendors from all over the city will gather again for the beloved Inglewood Night Market! In addition to this, they’ll also have a beer garden, food trucks, live music, and encourage you to bring your dogs – so it’s going to be a good night! Check it out and enjoy.

EXPERIENCE THE GLENBOW MUSEUM’S TEMPORARY EXHIBIT

Take a leisurely walk and support talented artists. This week, check out Calgary’s FREE Glenbow Museum popup exhibition space at the Edison for Here to Tell: Faces of Holocaust Survivors, a commemorative photography exhibit that you won’t want to miss.

If however, you’re among the many who will never tire from shopping in the sun, hit the East Village Riverwalk for the Easy Days pop-up market. Featuring Calgary artists and various artisan vendors,  guests can enjoy performances and local goodies!

SUPPORT CONTEMPORARY CALGARY

A modern museum with wide-open spaces and many a tale to tell! Contemporary Calgary is a one-of-a-kind museum and the best part? Admission is only $10 – so go ahead and get that extra espresso shot in your coffee on the way there.

TAKE AN OUTDOOR YOGA CLASS 

Inhale, exhale, stretch and sweat at an all-ages free Yoga class in Stanley Park – after all, there’s really no better way to spend an afternoon than by winding down and breathing in some fresh air with your toes in the grass.

CUDDLE WITH A ROO AT COBB’S ADVENTURE PARK
