“Bringing an iconic brand like Freddy’s into Canadian territories has been an exhilarating journey, and we feel thrilled to be closer to debuting our first franchise location in Alberta,” said Gregg Most, franchise owner of North 49 Frozen Custard and Steakburgers.”

“It’s a pleasure to work with ZZA Hospitality as we realize our goal of expanding Freddy’s Canadian footprint.”

According to the fast food joint, they will be developing five new Freddy’s locations in Alberta over the next five years.

Freddy’s is widely known for its signature combination of craveable menu items, including cooked-to-order steakburgers, shoestring fries and freshly churned frozen custard treats. If you weren’t already excited, more popular menu items include chilli dogs and chilli cheese fries, fried cheese curds, and onion rings. There’s even a veggie burger option for those who don’t eat meat!

Prior to coming to Canada, Freddy’s has more than 493 locations across 37 states and 375 cities, opening more than 60 of those locations in 2023.
