Spring is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful times of the year in Vancouver, with thousands of hydrated plants and pops of colour springing to life. From blossoming cherry trees to daffodils, roses, and tulips, BC is blessed with them all. And fortunately, there are a handful of flower farms in the area that allow you to get up close and personal with the bulbs – some with u-pick options available!

So without further ado, here are some beautiful flower farms to check out near Vancouver this spring.

Lakeland Flowers

We’re starting off with one of the biggest names in the game, and the host of Abbotsford’s annual Tulip Fest. Aside from perusing over 70 stunning tulip varieties this spring, visitors at Lakeland Flowers can enjoy fields of peonies, lavender, sunflowers, and more this summer.

Five Acres Flower Farm

This spring, Five Acres Flower Farm in Abbotsford has several flower workshops in the mix, as well as fresh bouquet subscriptions you can sign up for ahead of late spring and summer blooms. And from July to October, you can even pick your own sweet peas, zinnias, sunflowers, snapdragons, and dahlias! The farm offers two-hour-long workshops with on-site flower farmers to help teach visitors how to pick and care for different varieties, upon which time guests are free to wander the fields.

Situated on Westham Island just outside of Ladner, River and Sea Flowers is a family-owned farm committed to growing certified organic flowers, with a wide variety of pickings to choose from. Grown for both their beauty and fragrance, visitors can expect to see a mix of dainty scabiosa buds, dahlias, towering snapdragons, and much more.

You can even order flowers by the bucket, which contain 55-70 stems each for either $115 each, or $128 each if you want to pick your own colours.
