Talk about a destination all by itself! We’ve come across an absolutely stunning floating Airbnb off the coast of Tofino, where crowded beaches are literally nowhere to be seen. Here’s what to expect if you decide to visit.

While billed as a ‘houseboat’, the Lagoon Float Camp is really more of a floating dock. Located in the Clayoquot Sound, the floating Airbnb is only accessible via boat trip from Tofino. Luckily, transportation to and from your destination is covered with the reservation.

Once you arrive, you’ll be treated to the best version of the simple life. The first space we’ll talk about is a 14′ canvas tent, which features 2 beds and a propane heater for staying comfy if things cool down.

The fun doesn’t stop there, though. To really kick the experience up a notch, the property also features an ‘outbuilding’ with a fully-equipped kitchen and bath. Luckily, that means you won’t have to be eating readymade sandwiches or something during your stay.

The final bonus though? A wood-fired sauna, which is perfect for kicking back in after a day of exploring and a quick dip in the chilly water. And don’t worry- in addition to the boat ride out there, this Airbnb also has a rowboat (with life jackets) for easy access to the shore and nearby trails.

Really, the only drawback here is that you’ll need to come prepared, as trips to and from town will be nonexistent. So, if addition to prepping some meals, we’d also suggest bringing a laptop and a battery, just in case you’d rather watch a movie after the sun has set. As for us? Well, we think stargazing would be the move.

Either way, this floating Airbnb off the coast of Tofino is easily one of the most unique options we’ve seen in the entire province! If it sounds like the right fit for you, you can look into booking this summer right here.
