Calgary’s OG Nashville Hot Chicken is coming to Edmonton and it’s the hottest in town

Listen up fellow Edmontonians! Things around here are about to get really, really fiery as Flirty Bird joins the city’s food scene. After having set temperatures high serving Nashville Hot Chicken at four different locations in Calgary, Flirty Bird is now setting up shop on Whyte Ave. And they have everything to give you your fill of heat.

The resto boasts of a menu with extra hot (or not if you wish) chicken and some seriously cool sides.

Pair the main events, aka, The Sando, The Tenders and Flirty Fries, alongside authentic sides, with a rotating selection of beer and a limited yet tasteful selection of wine – there’s not better combo if you ask us!

What got us and probably most other foodies out there intrigued are the many levels of heat (six, to be precise) they’re offering. These go all the way from completely plain (No FLiRT) to absolute pain (Scorchin’ FLiRT). And when we say “scorchin”, we mean friggin scorching heat- ‘tears rolling down your eyes’ heat, ‘steam wafting off your ears’ heat and ‘nose running like Usain Bolt’ heat. As is anybody’s guess, it is only for the extraordinary palate.

You’ve been warned.

In addition to their outrageous deliciousness and their insane heat, you’ll also find a super chill, Nashville-style vibe, one that’s equal parts lively and casual.

So basically, Flirty Bird will be the new hot spot any time you want to test your palate resilience, impress your squad with your heat tolerance, have a kickass time eating and drinking or simply get your spicy addiction in check.

While we eagerly wait for this hot heaven’s grand opening this Thursday, y’all better check out their website and decide to which degree you’d like to challenge yourself. A word to the wise: what you see will make you hungry!
