Filipino Restaurant Month in BC brings some of the best Filipino restaurants together to promote Filipino cuisine in Canada and highlight the accomplishments & talents of chefs from the Philippines. This year? The celebration will take place at select restaurants in each province for the month of April.
After a successful debut last year, the second annual Filipino Restaurant Month is back, bringing prix fixe menus at local spots across the country that “highlight the unique variety of Filipino food and ingredients and the talent of Filipino chefs throughout Canada.”
According to a recent press release, 40 restaurants in 18 different cities across Canada took part in the celebration last year, with over 1,000 orders made. This year, organizers are aiming even higher.
“We hope to continue to inspire and spark the interest of the Canadian market in visiting the Philippines through tasting our food,” said the Tourism Attaché of the Philippine Department of Tourism in San Francisco, Soleil Tropicales.
