Although the 2026 World Cup may feel like it’s out of reach, preparations for the major event are already underway. Toronto is one of the host cities with six matches being played at BMO Field, including Canada’s opening match. With an event this large comes job openings, and FIFA is already hiring for several jobs in Toronto.

FIFA recently updated their job board, already listing three jobs available in Toronto.

Manager, Host City Rights Management

This role is a fixed-term full-time job with the main responsibilities including:

  • Coordinate an efficient and timely Host City Supporter Sales process
  • Support the execution of all contractual obligations for Host City Supporters through effective coordination and successful implementation of Host City commercial activities
  • Support the day-to-day commercial activities of all Host City Supporters and stakeholders in accordance with parameters agreed and approved by FIFA in various agreements
  • Facilitate the approval process for all branding opportunities for Host City Supporters across all Host City activations in accordance with Brand Guidelines
  • Manage the operational requirements for all milestone and tournament execution
  • Assist Host City Supporters to build commercial activations in accordance with Commercial and Brand Guidelines
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Host Cities’ auxiliary events and revenue opportunities
  • Participate in working groups with all stakeholders

Senior Arrivals & Departures Country Manager (Airport Operations)

This job is fixed term full time and describes the main duties as, “Designing and implementing a suitable A&D service model in their country and in line with the other A&D Sr Managers in FWC 26, to service all FIFA Constituent Groups (Teams, Referees, FIFA Officials, VIPs, Workforce, Dignitaries, Media, Broadcast, Commercial Affiliates) at all official point-of-entry/exit sites, based on FIFA requirements and agreed service levels.” Those include:

  • FIFA 2026 World Cup Tournament

  • Test Events
  • Team Workshops
  • Any other official side events

Senior Manager, Guest Operations

The Senior Manager of Guest Operations job is also fixed term full time with the main responsibilities including:

  • Lead teams in each respective workstream including Stadium Operations, VIP Hotels, Leisure Program, Protocol, and Guest Management as well as providing critical support with the overall department
  • Budget development and monitoring throughout the life cycle of the project for each respective workstream
  • Setting up working groups for a fully integrated guest experience development process ensuring consistent quality levels and seamless provision of all guest-related services putting the VIP/VVIP’s needs in the centre of attention
  • Identifying key principles and establishing of scalable event concepts built around the VIP/VVIP lounges at stadiums and VIP hotels including FIFA Club, ancillary meetings, entertainment programs
  • Creating visual identity and creative branding concepts enhancing a customized, memorable, and unique look & feel
  • Developing and coordinating holistic hospitality concepts combining decoration with an innovative and high-quality food & beverage concept
  • Performing research, analysis, benchmarking and consultations to establish Guest Experience and Hospitality production plans
