I’ve compiled a list of must-visit Christmas markets in Ontario’s charming small towns to make your winter extra magical.
Cheers to the holiday season with Friday Harbour’s Holiday Market! Explore its European-style market featuring a 40-foot tree, twinkling lights and décor, and chalet cabins.
Every weekend this December, visitors will have the chance to shop from an array of market vendors, try the sweetest festive treats and even enjoy themed warming Lounges including Rudolph’s Lounge.
There will also be carolers and a live DJ at “The Snow Globe” from 2 p.m., to 8 p.m.
When: Every Friday to Sunday in December, from 12 p.m., to 8 p.m.

One of the most whimsical holiday experiences in Ontario is here and they’re welcoming all to the magical Christmas Land this season. Neimi’s Christmas Market will make you feel like you’re in the North Pole.
It’s just a short drive away from Toronto but it’ll feel like you’ve been whisked away to another world full of festive fun.
Enjoy the Christmas Train that’ll bring you around the farm to meet the animals all while listening to a Christmas story.
Make sure to pay a visit to Santa’s Workshop, drop off a letter and take a picture with the man himself.
When: Nov. 15 to Dec. 21, 2024 – Fridays and Saturdays from 12 p.m., to 8 p.m.

Step back in time to the 1920s this holiday season and experience the wonders of this vintage village in Ontario. Rich in history and true-to-era buildings, Ontario’s Cumberland Heritage Village Museum will transform into a festive holiday destination, adorned with lights and festive activities that date back 100 years.
Vintage Village of Lights at Cumberland Heritage Village Museum runs until December 17th and gathers all to experience the traditions of yesteryear in what is called a “postcard-perfect scenery” of a 1920s and 30s village.
The village will shine bright in stunning light displays and seasonal decorations. “Chat with the villagers and get an up-close look at carpentry, leatherwork, and blacksmith demonstrations,” shared organizers. “Join us for a song around the player piano then send a telegram to the North Pole.”
When: Until Dec. 22, 2024, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. (final entry by 8 p.m.)
Where: Cumberland Heritage Village Museum – 2940 Old Montreal Rd
Cost: $26.14 taxes included, per group for residents; $32.68 for non-residents
Head to Ken Reid Conservation area for its annual Christmas festival.
Enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides, Grinch-Guided Story Walks and visits with Santa Claus.
There will also be live entertainment like falconry shows and wood carving demos

Parking passes must be pre-purchased in advance for $20. We can’t stress it enough – it must be purchased ahead of time as no day of onsite parking will be available.

Explore the Christmas Artisan Market at the Lakeside Park Pavilion on Dec. 7 and 8, 2024. This is your chance to support local vendors selling their homemade creations, including food and treats, too!
