‘Fargo’ is filming in Alberta & two of its biggest stars were spotted at the Flames game

Albertans are often caught off guard by lights, cameras and action, but when it comes to Fargo – Calgary is well acquainted! With 3 of the 4 seasons having been filmed in the area, we’ve gotten pretty familiar with the FX team but the cast will always keep us on our toes!

From Kirsten Dunst to Ewan McGregor, the popular anthology series has brought some pretty recognizable faces to Wild Rose Country and this time around Jon Hamm (Mad Men) and Joe Keery (Stranger Things) are in town!

‘Fargo’ will be filming in downtown Calgary today & here’s what you need to know

In fact, last night they made an XXL appearance on the Saddledome Jumbotron!

While their business is to film the 5th installment of the show, Hamm and Keery took some time to enjoy the Flames game on February 28th, and the crowd’s reaction was priceless.

Sadly, Calgary’s home team lost 4-3 to the Boston Bruins – but it wasn’t all bad.

In addition to sharing the arena with the actors, some were even lucky enough to meet them.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance – but we’re staying optimistic! Here’s to hoping they check out another game in the future – perhaps one that we actually win…

According to ACTRA they’ll be filming until April 10th, 2023 so there’s still time. Until then, keep your eyes open, Calgary. You never know who you’ll see and where!
