Do you have what it takes to compete in one of TV’s most recognized game shows? It’s your time to find out, because CBC’s Family Feud Canada is looking for contestants to join their cast this upcoming season.

With Season 7 now airing four nights a week, the hit game show is already looking ahead to filming Season 8. Hosted by Gerry Dee, Family Feud Canada invites families from across the country to compete to answer fun survey questions with “a uniquely Canadian twist,” all for the chance to win up to $30,000 per family. As the teams vie for that number one spot, their unexpected answers make the show full of memorable TV moments, and your family could be a part of it.

The show is searching far and wide across the country for families looking to put their knowledge to the test. While there’s no official deadline to apply, those interested are encouraged to submit their application materials as soon as possible, before spots fill up!

Who is eligible to apply?

For starters, all contestants must be 18 years old as of March 31, 2026, to participate. Your team must consist of five family members who all reside permanently in Canada.

You must be a Canadian Citizen, a permanent resident, or otherwise have permission to work in Canada.

Those who are running for political office or have been on more than two game shows in the past year are not eligible to apply. And if you or anyone else on your team has appeared on any version of Family Feud before, it has to be 10 years ago or beyond.

How to apply

First, applicants will need to enter their date of birth to access the online application form. They’ll then enter their name, contact info, city, team “hometown,” province, and “family” name, if different from yours. Applicants will submit a recent family photo and an audition video telling producers about their family and why they should appear on the series.

In the latter, producers will be looking for what makes your family unique and why you’re proud of your hometown. The key here is personality, enthusiasm, and a stand-out familial summary that is three to five minutes in length.

If selected, applicants will be invited to book a virtual audition with producers. You and your family will hop on a Zoom or phone call and play a mock game of Family Feud.

“We do not have a quota or set amount of families that we will choose,” explains CBC. “We are looking for as many fun families as possible!”

Note that there will be no in-person auditions until further notice.

Good luck!!
