EXPLORE AN ALBERTA MUSEUM FOR FREE
They say that you should learn one new thing a day! On Monday, February 20th, families will be able to learn from and explore some of Alberta’s very best and brightest spots – all of which will fill your head and heart with memories and knowledge – for FREE! From the Royal Alberta Museum to the Lougheed House, the province will be offering free admission on Family Day.

With a ‘pass the poutine contest’ and an ice fishing derby, Sylvan Lake’s annual Winterfest is back! This Family Day weekend, check out Alberta’s favourite Lake Town for a series of exciting events, fun activities and fresh air.

‘CHILL’ WITH THE PENGUINS AT THE CALGARY ZOO
It’s going to be a chilly one, but if you’re looking to get some fresh air – we’ve got just the thing! For the 11th year in a row, check out the Calgary Zoo for its spectacular Penguin Walk! This event is weather permitting, so make sure you check out their website before heading out!

YYC HOT CHOCOLATE FEST
It’s back and sweeter than ever! The annual YYC Hot Chocolate Festival has officially kicked off with 100 restaurants and cafes around the city participating. You can hit one, hit a couple, or hit them all, the city is your oyster!

WATCH A FLAMES GAME
Toss on a jersey and head over to the Saddledome where you’re encouraged to grab a pocket dog and a beer, then cheer the Flames to victory when they take on the Philidelphia Flyers. For their tickets head to the link above.
