This European-style village is only a short drive from Toronto

Your next small-town adventure is here! The village of Kleinburg is a dreamy escape located within the GTA. It offers a sort of European charm you won’t find anywhere else.

Kleinburg is located about 45 minutes away from Toronto. This quaint and lovely destination in Vaughan is truly captivating.

Exploring Kleinburg, Ont.

According to the village’s website, its main street is lined “with small shops and restaurants that are accented by luxury spas and European-inspired cafés.”

Explore the village and support local! Check out the lifestyle concept store Ambiance. You’ll find a selection of hand-picked fashion, home décor, accessories, furniture, stationery, giftware, and more.

It’s the perfect town for a romantic dinner for two or a casual catch-up over Italian espresso.

When you’re ready for a little R&R, you’ll find multiple luxury spas to unwind.

“Kleinburg is a perfect day trip from Toronto if you are looking for small-town charm, a boutique shopping experience, relaxation or inspiration,” says the village.

The colourful landscapes and rolling hills around Kleinburg served as inspiration for many Group of Seven paintings.

An eye for art

You’ll find many of their paintings at the town’s wonderful museum. The McMichael Canadian Art Collection boasts a permanent collection comprising over 7,000 artworks.

These are by Tom Thomson, the Group of Seven, their contemporaries, and First Nations, Métis, Inuit and contemporary artists who have contributed to the development of Canadian art, according to its website.

It’s located on 100 acres of forested land by the Humber River.

Here is where art and nature are one. Trails surround the museum, so after you’ve explored the collection, why not embrace the beauty of nature too?

Plan that weekend trip and explore the village this summer. You won’t regret it.
