Traditional English pub opens in a historic Calgary spot with daily late-night happy hour

A historic Calgary spot is now home to a traditional English Pub. Elephant & Castle officially opened its doors in the city, and it has daily late-night happy hour.

The pub opened on August 19th at 1503 4th Street SW in the historic building previously home to the Rose & Crown Pub.

Being in Calgary’s Culture and Entertainment District, Elephant & Castle is in a perfect spot, and will offer live music on the weekends, and a daily $6 late-night happy hour menu with “cheap pints and shareables from 11 p.m. to close.”

Consider this also your new spot to watch soccer (football), as pub states that it “will broadcast a variety of international sports events, including top-tier soccer matches from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and the Canadian Premier League, as well as the new Canadian women’s professional league, the Northern Super League.”

You can expect a selection of local and import beer, along with the classic pub fare like fish & chips and bangers & mash.

On the weekends, the pub will have a traditional “Sunday Roast”, complete with roast beef, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and yorkshire pudding.

In Canada, other Elephant & Castle locations are in Manitoba and Ontario. They also have pubs in the U.S.

Are you excited for this new spot?
