Eid al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan celebrated by Muslim communities in Canada and around the world! There are a handful of celebrations taking place in and around Toronto to mark the occasion – here are all the details.

According to the Government of Canada, “Eid al-Fitr is one of the most important holidays in the Islamic faith. It is a time for members of Muslim communities to gather and attend special morning prayers, enjoy communal meals, and exchange gifts and greetings with family and loved ones.”

Sunshine Eid Bazaar 

This eight-day-long celebration will include over 100 booths!

Pakistani Designer clothing, live performances, kids’ entertainment and an international Food Fiesta with Halal and vegetarian food included are just a few things to look forward to.

Admission is free and no tickets are required.

Eid Fair

The Eid Fair will be held in Mississauga to “celebrate joy with vibrant attire, exquisite gifts, and cultural treasures in a festive marketplace for all to indulge.”

The festivities will run from March 23rd – 24th and admission is free!

When: March 23rd – 24th from 1:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Where: Maple Banquet Hall, 1325 Eglinton Ave E Mississauga, ON
Cost: Free admission

Grand Eid Bazaar 

This three-day event will boast 200+ fashion, jewelry, accessories and food vendors offering “exclusive Eid collections,” running from 2:00 PM on Friday, March 29th until 2:00 AM on Monday, April 1st.

When: March 29th – April 1st from 2:00PM – 2:00 AM
Where: The International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd, Mississauga, ON
Cost: Free admission

Eid Festival

This Eid festival features vendors with food, jewellery, Hina casual and formal wear, live entertainment and more.

There will be two locations for this celebration, the first at East York Town Centre on April 5th and the second at The Estate Banquet Hall from April 6th – 9th.

When: April 5th from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM & April 6th – 9th from 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Where: East York Town Centre, 45 Overlea Blvd & The Estate Banquet Hall, 430 Nugget Ave
Cost: Free admission

Toronto Eid Mela

According to Toronto Eid Mela’s page, the celebration will have “delicious food, stunning jewelry, henna artist, nail art services and much much more.”

Join the free festivities on April 7th running from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Eid Bazaar 2024

This Eid Bazaar will have it all including diverse stalls, showcasing the best of Islamic traditions, intricate jewelry, exquisite artwork, traditional clothing and accessories, food and live entertainment.

When: April 5th at 3:00 PM – April 7th at 9:00 PM
Where: Red Rose Convention Centre, 1233 Derry Rd E Mississauga, ON
Cost: Free admission

Eid Carnival 2024

Located at Toronto Premium Outlets will be an Eid carnival!

Guests can expect live music, inflatable games, food, shopping deals, magic shows, henna, and face painting!

When: April 13th at 11:00 PM – April 15th at 9:00 PM
