Edmonton’s Festival of Trees is back this year & it’s brighter than ever

You know the holiday season is officially here when the University Hospital Foundation’s annual Festival of Trees presented by Landmark Homes kicks off. After a virtual run last year, the festival has gone hybrid this time around with events and activities happening both online and outdoors, so whatever your preference- you can still enjoy the holly jolly festivities all season long.

The theme of this year is ‘Share the Joy’, and the festival has found quite a few interesting ways of doing so. You can share the joy with family and/or your significant other with the Festival in a Box, a selection of carefully curated items to enjoy with the family or on a date night.

Then there is the Gift of Gratitude, which lets you share the joy and show your appreciation for the University of Alberta Hospital’s frontline workers. There is also an online auction that started on November 16 and will continue through December 5. The funds collected will be used to make life better for patients with end-stage kidney disease.

In addition to getting us in the giving spirit of the holiday season, the festival also has a line-up of fun activities for us to enjoy including a light tunnel and selfie wall (on December 4 and 5), and a 50/50 draw with a maximum jackpot of $1.5 million (tickets available from November 23 – December 23)!

Check out the University Hospital Foundation website here to grab your boxes, buy your tickets and have a jolly good holiday season!
