A day-to-night electronic music festival is coming to an iconic Vancouver venue this weekend

The fourth annual Summerville Music Festival is coming up this weekend, and it’s set to transform Vancouver’s iconic retro-style hotel, The Waldorf, into a nonstop electronic music and dance party.

With a full roster of electronic music DJs and peak summer energy, you won’t have to choose between day or night at this outdoor festival. There will be two sets; one during the afternoon and another that carries the party into the late night.

The DJ lineup currently includes Case of the Mondays, SIVZ, Civillian, Sheps, Alidad, and more, so get ready to cap off the season at a historic venue.

Situated in East Van, The Waldorf is known for its retro-inspired rooms and for being a part of a multi-venue complex called At The Waldorf, which features a popular Tiki Bar and hosts hundreds of concerts, parties, and private events.

Festival-goers can enjoy refreshing summer sips from an outdoor sand bar, tasty local bites, ice-cold treats, an artisan marketplace, and outdoor games during the all-day (and night) festival.

There will also be plenty of water pistols and surprises throughout the day, according to The Waldorf, including $1,000 in prizes!

If your interest is piqued, it’s time to mark your calendars and spread the word. Summerville arrives in East Vancouver on Saturday, Aug. 15, and it’s considered one of Vancouver’s most anticipated summer music events for a reason.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are priced just under $40 a pop and are available online, though at-the-door tickets will be available for $45.

The afternoon set kicks things off at 3 p.m., with the late-night set starting at 10:30 p.m. and ending at 2 a.m.

With the forecast looking clear and sunny over the weekend, now is your chance to don your favourite summer wear and make it count.
