WORLD WATER PARK
Alberta’s wildest waterpark, West Ed’s iconic spot has several slides, a wave pool, a rope swing, a zipline and more. No, this one is not outside, but it is by far the biggest and best in the province and totally worth visiting if you’re looking to beat the heat this summer.

WHITECOURT RIVERSLIDES
Though Whitecourt is a tad smaller than the others on the list, it still offers an entire day of fun. With a beach, splash park and river tube slides, guests can cool down, chill out and get their adrenaline going with friends, family or their kids.

SYLVAN LAKE AQUA SPLASH
Located in Sylvan Lake – this Aqua Splash isn’t your run-of-the-mill waterpark. It’s better described as an obstacle course but don’t let that deter you! This giant inflatable attraction is a ton of fun – so make sure you check it out this summer.

SWIMMING HOLES, LAKES AND BEACHES

LAKE ANNETTE
Located pretty close to the town of Jasper, Lake Anette is well known for its quiet sandy beach, crystal clear water, its beautiful grassy area perfect for laying about or having a bite, and like everything else that is in or around the mountain town, its beautiful view.

SYLVAN LAKE
Sylvan Lake is by far the most popular beach in Alberta. Located at the midpoint between Calgary and Edmonton, Sylvan is where you go to make a memory, have a nice lunch, take a walk and hang out on the sand.

KINOSOO BEACH
Considered by many to be the best beach in not only Alberta but Canada as well, Kinsoo is located on the east end of Cold Lake. With tons of sand, gorgeous views and equipment rentals, and a designated swimming area, those who haven’t been – should definitely check it out this summer.

ALBERTA BEACH
Located West of Edmonton, this adorable spot is warm, shallow, and great for families with smaller kids. In addition to the beach, there’s also a pretty big grassy area where you can have a picnic lunch before heading back to the water.

SIR WINSTON CHURCHILL BEACH AND CAMPGROUND
Located 5 km east of Lac La Biche, this in-province island getaway offers an authentically Albertan camping experience and of course, an incredible beach. Here, guests can swim, paddleboard, go boating, lounge, fish, hike or bike – in addition to staying in their choice of RV, Tent or rental cabin.
