Walmart has opens its first new store in Alberta since 2015, and it is right here in Edmonton. According to the company, their new Edmonton Kingsway Walmart Supercentre replaces the Edmonton Westmount store, and it has added a fresh food assortment.

The new 149,000 sq. ft. store is located at Edmonton’s Kingsway Mall, and is more than a third larger than the previous location.

Besides grocery pick up and delivery, the new Walmart Supercentre also has an expansive international section including Asian, Indian, Middle Eastern, Italian and Portuguese foods, plus a dedicated international frozen food section, according to the company.

The Edmonton Kingsway Supercentre employs approximately 220 associates, and it says that it is hiring for store positions. Jobs can be viewed on their website here.
