East Vancouver is about to get a new ‘pool cafe’ with a great name

Ready to become the pool shark that you’ve dreamed about since you were a little kid? Good, us too, and there’s a new ‘pool café’ coming to East Van so that we can hone our skills. What’s more, it’s got just about the best name we can think of- Sneaky Pete’s Pool Cafe.

Maybe because the name Sneaky Pete brings back memories of Slippery Pete, from the Frogger episode of Seinfeld. What’s more, we’re pretty sure that Slippery Pete would love to hang out at Sneaky Pete’s making bets with Christopher Walken on some 8-ball.

While we don’t know when exactly the cafe will open, we do have a couple of other bits of info. First off, the space is located at 424 McLean Drive, which is just off East Hastings and a hop, skip and jump away from some of Van’s best breweries. Here’s hoping that they bring a nice little craft beer list as well.

And once open, there will be 8 brand new Diamond pool tables to enjoy. No worrying about bumps in the felt or shoddy cushions for you!
