Toronto is getting an outdoor Earth Day festival this weekend

Earth Day is coming up this Saturday and you can spend it in the great outdoors at the annual Earth Day Festival in Toronto.

Held at Downsview Park, this free festival is a one-day celebration of our planet and the environment.

This yearly event has all kinds of events and hands-on activities that are both fun and educational for visitors of all ages.

“This event is a great opportunity to learn about ways to reduce your environmental footprint, connect with like-minded individuals and organizations, and celebrate our planet,” the description says.

This weekend’s event will feature activities like tree planting, painting, Trishaw rides, a guided nature walk, seedball making, an Earth Day scavenger hunt, and more.

The vendor market will feature sustainable businesses selling eco-friendly products.

There will also be food and market vendors, a campfire with free roasted marshmallows, Toronto beekeeper sampling and beehive tour, and free minor bike repairs.

Also, you can do your part by bringing in women’s clothing donations for DRESSRESPONSIBLY and participating in a litter pick by Pollution Probe.

Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to reserve a spot on Eventbrite in advance, as registration will be required to attend certain activities.

There are so many free events to look forward to in Toronto this April, so needless to say, it’s an eventful month.

And with the weather finally starting to warm up, we’re hopeful that Mother Nature will be kind to us this Earth Day at Downsview Park.
