Shopping in the city continues to get better and better! We got word today that the Vancouver-based brand DUER has opened a new flagship store in Vancouver, and it’s in Kitsilano no less. And, once you know what you’re in for, there’s no doubt you’ll want to swing by the next time you’re in the area.
Building off the success of its original location in Gastown, DUER has managed to open stores in cities like Toronto, Calgary, and even LA! While the brand cut its teeth with denim, it’s now expanded into a full range of ‘performance-based’ apparel ranging from outerwear to accessories and of course, the Performance Denim line.

What’s more, DUER has put its money where its mouth is, and the new Kitsilano flagship features stationary bikes for you to double-check their claims. After all, if you’re buying some jeans on the basis that you can bike to work and back no problem, why not double-check that you can before check out? That’s not all though, as the company is also building a ‘Performance Playground’ in the store for customers to really put the clothing through its paces.
But, that’s the major focus of the company. Gary Lenett, one of the company’s co-founders, said that “I believe experiential retail is about to have its moment – far beyond anything we’ve seen before. There’s a big market opportunity for brands like ours that can turn retail spaces into testing grounds offering a memorable experience for consumers.”
Pair that with an ongoing focus on sustainability, and the company is one we’re proud to see come out of this city. So, whether you’re heading to Kits specifically to check the new store out, or just for a day along West 4th, you’ll be happy you visited.
