Ontario is home to some of the best festivals around – in any season. And it just so happens that the small town of Dresden hosts one of them – the Dresden Christmas Night Market.

The 6th Dresden Christmas Night Market is set to make a comeback on November 25th, featuring over 100 different vendors.

“Each vendor at our events is carefully chosen and placed to give our guests the best local shopping experience,” shares organizers. “The majority of our vendors make or grown their products, and many are from right here in Chatham-Kent. You’ll be amazed at how talented our vendors are.”

Located about three hours west of Toronto is the community of Dresden. This small town is home to over 2,400 residents and has a rich heritage tied to the Underground Railroad, according to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.

Though small, Dresdon’s beloved event was recently added to Festival and Events Ontario’s list of the top 100.

The one-night experience offers some of the best local shopping experiences, along with delectable eats, warm drinks, and more.

And there’s even a pop-up bar that features breweries and beverage crafters from Chatham-Kent and neighbouring communities, according to organizers.

“In 2022, in an effort to reduce waste, we introduced our reusable cup program,” shares the event organizers.

“Each guest is given one reusable souvenir cup to use throughout the event. We provide rinsing stations for customers to clean their cups in between drinks and encourage patrons to bring back their cups to future events!”

Proceeds from the Pop-Up Bar will go to support Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre and Dresden Legion Branch 113.

The Dresden Night Market is free to attend and a must if you happen to be in the area.
