Distillery District is having a 190th birthday bash with fireworks next week

Toronto’s historic Distillery District is officially 190 years young and it’s throwing a big birthday party to celebrate.

Distillery District is commemorating the 190th anniversary of the Gooderham and Worts distilling company, which has since transformed into the charming cobblestone village we know and love today.

Under the glow of twinkling lights along Trinity St, you can join the celebration of this historic destination, complete with birthday cake, tasty bites, cocktails, music, and a fireworks show.

The dazzling fireworks show will begin at 8:45 PM, so have your camera at the ready for the picture-perfect photo op.

“Grab your partner, your friends, your colleagues and let’s celebrate The Distillery District under the stars,” the description says.

The celebration is a final opportunity to savour the warm weather in Toronto’s most charming part of town.

And just a few weeks later, The Distillery District’s annual Winter Village is set to return, bringing its holiday magic to the city from November 17 to December 31.
