Villains & Cars
We’ll get right into it. Magic Kingdom is getting its largest land expansion ever, according to Disney. And it’s dedicated to its iconic villains.
Cruella de Vil, the Evil Queen, Captain Hook – all the beloved villains, all in one place. The new land is underway and it will include two new attractions, dining, shopping and more.
“Since the beginning, our Disney Villains have given us endless possibilities to tell new stories,” D’Amaro said. “In this new land, you’ll see storytelling on a grand scale that only Disney can deliver.”
Next up is Disney’s beloved franchise Cars. It’ll be moving into the Magic Kingdom with a reimagined section of Frontierland. We’re leaving Radiator Springs behind and bringing in two new Cars attractions — an off-road rally race, and a family-friendly attraction for the young ones.
Encanto & Indiana Jones
New things are also coming for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests will be taken on a trip to the Tropical Americas. Hint, hint.
Introducing Pueblo Esperanza, a fictional village in the heart of the rainforest. This land will be dedicated two of Disney’s popular franchises, Encanto and Indiana Jones.
Guests will have the chance to experience a ride-through attraction that takes place inside “Casita on the day after young Antonio receives his gift of communicating with animals,” shares Disney.
And on the outskirts of the town, the Indiana Jones attraction which takes place inside a mysterious Maya temple. This will be an all-new adventure, unlike any of the current Indiana Jones attractions in the world.
“With Tropical Americas, we’re bringing huge projects to life for generations of fans,” said D’Amaro. “This is the type of signature storytelling that our Disney Imagineers have been creating for 70 years.”
This is set to open in 2027.

Avengers & Avatar
And of course, we can’t forget about the never-ending Marvel Universe.
There will be two new E-ticket Marvel-themed attractions coming to Disney California Adventure.
Avengers Campus will also see land expansion, doubling its size for the new attractions.
As for Avatar, it will make its way to Disney California Adventure which includes a new attraction inspired by its second film.
“Disney Experiences is embarking on an accelerated path of ambitious growth and innovation,” said D’Amaro.
“With so many great Disney stories to tell, we’re excited to bring an unprecedented number of new projects to life in the near future.”
Guests will see these changes and plans come to fruition over the next decade.
Needless to say, we are excited! Which park are you looking forward to?
