As of April 5th, 2024, people who have a minimum income of €27,000 (approximately $39,811 CAD), evidence of remote work, and health insurance can apply to stay overseas for up to a year.
In addition, the government asks that you show proof of housing and do a criminal record check, according to the Italian government.
