Looking to grab a drink or two this week? Why not check out a new bar? Dark Room, one of Seattle’s newest bars, is now open in the former space of long-time neighborhood favorite, Teachers Lounge. Here’s a look at the new bar and what it has to offer.

Dark Room is a craft cocktail bar from bartenders Matthew Gomez, Matt Hassler, and Chef Amy Beaumier. They describe the bar as an “elevated experience where everyone is welcome.”

When it comes to the menu you’ll find an inventive list of cocktails featuring all sorts of spirits. An example is the bars Aqua Rubarbie Girl which has Aquavit, rubarbaro, sweet vermouth, espresso liqueur, orange bitters, and Kümmel.

You’ll also find drafts, reds, and whites, as well as bottles and cans.

The bar also features a small eats menu with items like banchan, dumplings, rice bowls, and more.

So next time you’re in Greenwood, stop by and give them a try. After all, it never hurts to try something new!
